''Hackney Rebel', Etchings and Chin Collé, 40cm x 30cm
This series of etchings was inspired by the life and work of the British painter and sculptor Tony Hancock. It has now been 50 years since the artist’s early career and subsequent rise to fame were documented in the film ‘The Rebel’. My prints take the artist out of 1960s Paris in the and place him in the London Borough of Hackney in 2013. The works created pay homage to the artist’s relentless belief in his own true ‘greatness’.
